A little while ago I noticed that my email client is downloading thousands of emails from my Comcast mail account. At first I didn't know if it was a virus so I checked it on another computer configured with that mail account (I have the POP3 set up to leave a copy on the server). Sure enough, that computer was trying to download all the mail again also.
It seems that somehow the clients on the computers don't think they've downloaded a copy of that message yet so they're downloading it again, but it's happening for all of my mail.
Has anyone else run into this?
