Sign-up for Comcast Cable Internet (where available) through Staples and receive introductory price of $19.99 per month for first six months, no service contract, free basic installation, no activation fee, no penalty for BYOCM (Bring Your Own Cable Modem), no shvilt!

But wait, there's more!

On top of that great deal, is a $150 mail-in rebate. Cha-Ching. What's next, paying us to get broadband? :p

Edit: This rebate is only valid if the promotional six-month term is completed.

Good find.

Unfortunately, they don't offer Comcast service where I live. But they do have a similar deal with SBC Yahoo! for $26.95/month for 12 months and the $75 rebate.

Since I've been looking to sign myself up for DSL, this deal is perfect. Thanks.

DELL Internet Connect DANGER, DANGER Will Robinson! Dell's fulfullment house has not been paying out these rebates. Investigate for yourself. This has been going on for over 6 months now. For example: Both a friend and my sister signed up for SBC/Yahoo DSL back in January and neither has gotten their rebate $. Fulfillment house say's their had been fraudulent signups. I've personally spent at least 2 hours on the phone with them over the past two months and have considered suing them.

This offer sounds nice, but don't rely on the rebate as a basis for your decision.

Thanks for the heads up. 20 bucks a month for six months of Comcast cable, no service contract, free activation and installation, is definitely a hot deal with or without the rebate.

Heck, that's an even better deal by $50.00 you don't mind going with their obligatory Motorola Surfboard modem. Free Motorola modem (after $69.95 and $20 mail-in rebate) plus an additional $50 rebate ("cash back").

The Dell deal effectively works out to be only a free cable modem (assuming the $75 rebate is going towards the purchase of your own modem). I didn't see any information about service contract requirements, activation or installation charges, though.

I have a installation scheduled for the 23rd at $19.99/month for 4 months. My question is do you have to go through Dell or Comcastoffers.com to get these deals or can I call Comcast directly and have my promotion changed?

Got my modem from Circuit City for free after rebate plus a $75 gift card. Just want to know if I can get $19.99 for 6 months instead of the 4 I'm signed up for.

Both of these offers seem really hot, but at that page, I found this: "Prices and availability of promotional pricing vary for non-Comcast cable video customers."

So that seems to imply that this promotion is only good for existing ComCast cable TV subscribers then.

So tcsenter, is the Dell deal similar? That was my biggest question after reading about it - do you need to be a cable TV subscriber too? Sounds like a good deal regardless, and thanks for posting it, but I don't personally want to have to sign up for cable TV too.

Edit: weepul, I found this on that page too: "This modem offer is not available directly from Comcast and is only available here at Comcastoffers.com. Comcastoffers.com is independently operated by Broadbandoffers.com, working with Comcast Corporation to bring you this cable modem rebate offer"

That makes it sound like that comcastoffers.com site isn't actually part of comcast.com, but rather some sort of business-partner/affiliate? It mentions being part of something called broadbandoffers.com. Wierd.

The Dell offer is open to 'new residential customers or former residential customers with accounts in good standing at the time of cancellation and have not subscribed to Comcast Internet within the past 60 days', or something to that effect.

I don't believe the promotional price is different for non-Comcast cable TV subscribers, only the 'normal' monthly rate after the six months promotion is higher if you don't subscribe to Comcast cable TV. That's the way I read it. To find out, just call Comcast before signing up and ask. The number I received was 888-824-8161, but that may only be for my region (N. California).

Be prepared to wait 15 ~ 20 minutes on hold before getting through.

Holy Crap! You're right.

Its the exact same promotion as Dell but $150 rebate instead of only $75. DAYUM! That's worthy of a thread title change.

Wonder if I can cancel the Dell order? Hmm....

I got in on this as well.
Ended up being: Free after rebate surfboard modem, FAR self install kit, 6 mo. 19.99, $50 gift card instantly, and $50 gift card after rebate.

They had to hold me back from that deal, I was ready to jump the counter and sign myself up.

FWIW, that same fine print was also present in the offer that weepul linked to. I would tend to assume that the legal fine print was written by Comcast, not by their affiliates on this promotion, which means it should be the same for every offer.

Hmm. I'm on the east coast, but I'm pretty sure Comcast is also in this area. I would love to get in on this deal, especially the no-contract bit, but it just seems... too good to be true?

Also, if one has to wait an entire six months before qualifying for the $150 rebate in the Staples deal, doesn't that also imply that you will have to recieve at least one non-promotional bill? (Eg. $46 or whatever it is. So the "value" of the rebate is more like $100 than $150.)

I'm thinking that the best promotion out of the ones mentioned is the BestBuy one, personally.

Again, thanks for the heads-up on this tcsenter, it seems like there is a lot of deals to be had.

(Just when I was thinking of signing up with Verizon DSL for $30/mo too...)

Btw, do you get newsgroup access with Comcast?

If you read the rebate form they send you the 150$ via check in 8-10 weeks and if you cancel before six months you owe them that full rebate......So really you dont have to wait 6 months.
