Comcast internet $19.99 a month for 12 months
For people who are looking for Comcast internet deal... I saw this on a banner from some website. I am already with Comcast, so I didn't go through it.

Offer ends 3/27/11 and is limited to new residential customers. Not available in all areas. Limited to Performance Internet service and service to a single outlet. After promotional period, regular charges apply. After 12 months, monthly service charge goes to $34.99 for months 13 - 24. Comcast's current monthly service charge ranges from $44.95 - $59.95, depending on services subscribed to. Minimum 1-year contract required. Early termination fees apply. Equipment, installation and taxes extra. Actual speeds vary and are not guaranteed. Not all features compatible with Macintosh systems. Money-Back Guarantee applies to monthly recurring charges and standard installation. Call for restrictions and complete details. © 2011 Comcast. All rights reserved. I am on this promotion. Didn't use the website, I got an advertisement in the mail.
The performance internet is 12/2 speeds. There is a 1 year contract in this. After 1 year the price goes to $35, but you can cancel after 1 year before it goes to $35/month.

Good deal, since without TV service the internet package costs $60+modem rental.

Comcast will also attempt to price match if a Telco or satellite has a Internet offer.

An existing customer can take advantage if they have not had any promo for 3-6 months.

If you didn't have a promotion recently (within the past 1-2 months). You can call and ask. Depending on the person you get, some will add it to existing customers, some will not.

#2
Or you could complain and say its expensive. Try to go to the retentions department when pressing the keys. Call back a few times. I usually say like "I was transferred to you and the previous person said I could receive a promotion on my services. $20/month for 6 months, etc."

#3
That or if you cancel your service, then have someone in your house sign up under their name, you can get the new customer promotion. You will be a week without service when you wait for them to come and disconnect/reconnect it again.

@ImDonly1 - You still have the ad you got in the mail? Or at least a phone number we can try calling? :)

It looks like I can get this deal in my area but:

$34.99 one-time charge for this package.
$5.00/mo charge for equipment.

$19.99/mo comes out to nearly $28/mo if I decided to go with it.

I also hate the website because you have to fill out everything before they mention the one-time charge for this deal. Decent but not hot deal IMHO.

I called them the other day after they announced yet another price hike (usually twice a year) and they dropped my total bill by $30/mo, gave me the top tier of internet, HBO and Showtime all for a year. Just have to remember to cancel before the year is up.

ive been paying $55 a month for 8mb internet. its not that fast, its capped to 250gb, and its comcast. i think ill call just to cancel, and tell them $19 a month is all i can afford to pay so maybe they can just give me pieces of the internet instead of the whole thing. i want a crust piece for sure though.

No I don't. The number is region specific also. You can look on fatwallet or slickdeals and people posted phone numbers but there are a few different numbers. The number was not direct to comcast, it was through some 3rd party company comcast uses I think.

Here's one flyer I found on fatwallet... you can try it. Ignore the offer ends thing. Not sure if they really look into that.
