Comcast High Speed Internet

$19.99 a month for 6 months, month by month contract (meaning I can cancel anytime and only get billed for the rest of the existing month) and free installation/equipment.

I'm sure it'll be $42 something after the six months, but for now, is there any reason why I shouldn't jump on this? For $20, it's worth a test-out. Right?

were offering that through my work (compusa)... its a great deal, i would go for it.

oh and yes its regular rate after the 6 months, which varies depending on whether or not you have cable tv. also, you do have to buy the cable modem (or rent one i suppose..but its $10 after rebates at comp 😛 )

I was going to jump on that deal, but Comcast isn't offered in my area. 🙁

I'm signing up for the $26.95/month through SBC Yahoo DSL instead... too bad all the rebates for those are dead now. 🙁

If it's available to you, go for it. Wish I could.

that's how the promotion works. at college, i'll do the promotion for a couple months and than my roommate will do it under his name. this way we always get the promotion price.

also, if you cancel your service, you qualify for new promotions after 6 months

Thats nothing special, they always have those runng 😉
Everytime they offered previous, it was a 1 year contract agreement.

Month by month makes the deal worth it.

Yep, and Comcast has a customer retention department too, so when your period is over call them and they might keep you on the plan for a couple more months.

I've been a customer for 1.5 years, and I recently called them. They lowered my $91 TV/internet bill to $38.50 for six months, and I changed the package I got so after the six months it'll still be $60 instead of $90.

hmm, yeah probably more stress for you at customer service..i'd always see someone yelling at the person working there if i passed by. i worked in the warehouse which was pretty relaxed.. the people i worked with were awesome co-workers but they never really helped the customers.. hehe
