Comcast didn't know anything, I am calling back tomorrow.

Every 2-3 days I have to renew my DHCP through my router.

anyone else?

You shouldn't have to renew anything if your router is doing what it is supposed to. At half the lease time it is supposed to renew it's lease. There is no reason you should have to do anything.

Well if you follow the tried and true troubleshooting for broadband connections you should be good.

1) turn off pc and router
2) turn off modem
3) wait at least 60 seconds
4) turn on modem
5) wait at least 3 minutes
6) turn on router, wait at least 60 seconds
7) turn on PC

problem fixed, you're good to go.

it's not a reboot problem...

I think it may be related to an issue about 8 weeks ago. They didn't have my MAC on file so killed the account or something like that. I called in and it was all working until the end of last month...maybe a new 'cycle' in their accounts.

I am going to call tomorrow and see.
