Comcast DNS servers and ATOT

I periodically have problems with slow loading pages on ATOT (and other sites, especially iTunes trailers). So, I decided to do an experiment and run half a day on Googles dns and half on Comcasts.


Well, there is a definite improvement on Googles DNS.

Just an FYI and to ask if anyone has any other DNS servers I can use other than Google, since Googles privacy policies are not the best.

IE 8 on Win7. Fast computer, btw.

I use openDNS. Its pretty decent.

I use OpenDNS, but that shouldn't affect page loads. Once the DNS server has resolved the ip address, it's work's done, and it's up to other variables to make your page load quickly.

I'm sure its because I don't have a super CPU and only have 2 gigs of RAM. Chrome does just fine, FF lags just enough to piss me off.

I don't know why either, but it does happen. btw just switched to openDNS quoted above and also seems faster than Comcast.
