$40/month for digital

Comcast don't want you to know about it. It's not even a choice on their website. I only found out about it when trying to compare channels.

I'm pretty sure I will only watch Fox News. I heard it's the #1 News Channel on cable. Must be entertaining.

Digital what? Digital broadcast only? I'd rather pay the up-front price for rabbit ears and a TV with a digital tuner.

$43 is the base cost for the entire extended cable package including HD channels from my provider. Their minimal package is $17

I'm a current customer. Internet only. To get basic cable is $25/month but that's worthless to me.

Seriously, I'm pretty sure I am just gonna watch Fox News for entertainment.

My wife likes to watch CNN. but I'll convert her to the light. CNN seems more boring from what I remembered.

We used to get the Limited Basic from Comcast. Clear-QAM rebroadcast of local channels, basically, including HD. Started at $10 and was over $20 by the end. Now they encrypt them all, rendering my HDHomerun and Media Center setup useless.

Not going backwards in time 7 years and jiggering up a freaking pile of IR blaster bullshit again. Not going backwards and having them nickel and dime (who are we kidding, more like $5 and $10) me to death on box rentals, outlet fees, HD packages, etc etc.

So we dropped it and right now use a Roku, stream media off our server, and have been trying Aereo out. No real need for Aereo so we may drop it, can get the shows we want off various websites as needed. Don't really care enough about the remaining sports still left on OTA to keep it I think (don't give two shits about the NFL, college sports have become a joke, the NHL and MLB are basically cable only, and I really don't care about any other sports at all).

What do you get in the Digital Economy package?

Does it include any HD channels? If so, do you have to pay extra for an HD cable box?

Knowing Comcast, the answers are probably "30 channels, including 15 channels of crap like QVC and public access", "No HD Channels", and "The HD package and HD cable box are $25 extra".
