Every channel available, + HBO + Cinemax + Showtime + Starz for $74.99/mo w/Dish or $79.99/mo w/local channels (cable equivalent is $110/mo, and unfortunately I'm stuck with it at the moment till I can get my dish)
Now that you can get locals from just about anywhere in the US, Dish is the only way to go. And prices are not about the same, much better deal w/Dish.
Obvious disclaimer: I work for Dish Network, so I could be lying/embellishing. But WTH would I? I'm a lowly phone support flunky and don't get jack sh!t of the profits.

Not to mention DC's picture quality sucks.

Nearly identical? I admit I work for Dish as well but currently I too have cable until I get my dish. The picture quality between the two there is no comparison, the vast majority of cable (and yes I'm on Comcast) is analog and looks like CRAP for me. Keep in mind this is on a decent Mitsubishi tv so I'm kindof picky. Dish looks so much clearer and typically has a better channel selection. I can only wonder how long they'll keep you at that $79.95 price Ameesh.

we have two nice hdtvs in the house and both look nearly identical, dish as well as comcast compress the hell out of all the channels. the plus for comcast in our house was if one of the two providers was gping to get local channels in HD it would be comcast before dish.
