Yeah yeah, I know you're not really going to get through to him, but someone is filtering through correspondence to him.

If you can't tell, I'm pissed at Comcast for continually failing to resolve my billing issue with them. So I'm going beyond the typical customer service route and bumping it up a notch 🙂

I'm not sure on comcast service yet.

My neighbor cut my underground line. They came out and fixed it in less than 24hours which is good.

All he did was a splice job however. After a couple rain storms I'd like to see if water makes it into the slop-job splice.

I live close enough to pay him a visit if at lunch if we really needed to have a discussion about my crappy service. *pounds fist into palm* 😛

If the CSRs actually did what they said they were going to do to my account to fix my billing issue, I wouldn't have any reason to complain. However, since they're an incompetent bunch and can't seem to fix a very simple problem I feel well within my right to complain and it's going to get very loud. 😀

I absolutely positively cannot say enough nice things about the unbelievably amazing service I get from Comcast.
I moved a few months back, and they transferred service over the same day, with barely a couple of hours interruption.
The new house needed to be re-cabled due to signal quality issues, and they fixed it same day.
Some drunken fool recently plowed his car into a telephone pole on the main road several blocks from my house, knocking out my service, and Comcast replaced the entire pole and had service back up within hours.

I ran out of peanut butter when I was halfway through preparing a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Comcast not only brought me some more peanut butter, they spread it on my bread for me.

Thanks Comcast!

LMAO!!

Sorry, guys... I know the Comcast hate is strong here, and in many cases rightfully so, but those are all true stories.
Maybe Brian Roberts lurks the forums here and so he knew that I had planned to switch to DSL/Satellite with the move to my new house. 😛

I think most people hate just about every phone company and cable company. It's just a fact of life.

Except he lives in Philly and I live on the Left Coast. 😛

Arguably, Comcast isn't cheap, and I have heard of some billing nightmares. I recenlty upgraded my cable box to the dual-tuner DVR, which they had a promotion running on, and they tried to screw me out of the promotion when the bill came. I guess they figured that I'd just pay it because it was only a few bucks.
And let's all keep in mind that my only phone company option (for DSL) is Qwest, which is quite possibly the world's worst phone company when it comes to customer service.

I am mildly surprised at the attention that I got after sending an email directly to Mr. Roberts earlier today. Within 2 hours of my email being fired off, I got 2 phone calls from different upper-level management folk who were both ready to get my situation resolved. Within 4 hours, I got a phone call from the CSR who dicked me around yesterday. He of course still tried to make some excuses, but I wasn't listening any more and I think he got the point. He sounded like he got his a$$ chewed out though.

I won't be certain my billing issues have been resolved until I get my next bill (or my cable ceases to work 😉), but it seems that making a bunch of noise directly to the CEO got things fixed finally.

EDIT: And last but not least... I just got the faxed letter (signed & dated) that I requested. It basically states that my issue has been resolved and what actions were taken to resolve it.
