Comcast Appreciation Thread

I like to save money where I can, so when I viewed my latest bill from Comcast and recently saw an ad for TV/Phone/DSL from SBC for $100, I had to do something. So I called them up and explained my situation... Recently married, purchased a house, looking to save some cash.

The woman I talked to was very nice and we changed my plan a bit and she gave me some freebie stuff that reduced my bill by about $40 dollars... which is about the cost of my phone bill. Basically, I get the same stuff I'd get from SBC for about the same price they'd charge me too. Yeah, it's a for a limited time, but they're adding digial phone and having package deals within the next few months that I can take advantage of when this runs out.

I recently did the same thing. Told them that Verizon was offering DSL for $29.99, the CSR matched their price for 6 months. Told me to call back in 6 months 🙂

Um, not really, no. The special runs out and you pay the same Comcast rate just like everyone else who isn't on special.

my special rate just ran out. now my monthly bill for cable tv and internet is $100+

urgh..need to get that adjsuted.

Either that or you need to cut down on all the crap you buy every month (comcast services). 😛

Not really, internet $45, digital cable no premium channels $55.... thats $100 right there.

Comcast is alright at best, not worth an appreciation thread.
