Combo Drive Hookup question

I'm in the middle of making a new computer for the first time and I'm using mechbgons guide but I have a question about the Slave/master/cable select jumper block. If I'm putting a primary CD/DVD-ROM drive on top (waiting for it to come) and putting a combo drive in the second slot, what do I set the second bottom drive to because right now it's my primary drive because I'm waiting for my DVD-ROM one? And also, how do you change that, do I just move that little white piece around and if so what set of pins do I move it to to make it which, Slave /master/cable select??😕
 
theoretically if both are on cs(cable select) the chain is supposed to auto detect, but it doesnt always work, so go with the master/slave combination. Use the white jumper on the back of the cd drives. Set one to master and one to slave. On the bottom or top of the drive there is a pin diagram showing which pins to connect with the jumper to set master or slave.
 
If I'm using this drive as my primary one now though but later I plan on having it as my secondary one, if I set it to slave right now so I don't have to change it when my other drive comes will it still work alright or do i have to set it as my primary one and just change it when the other one gets here?
