I have a Windows XP Professional disk that I've had for years. I'm going to do a clean install with a SATA HD so I need some way to load the drivers. I'd also like to go straight to SP2 instead of downloading it after install. Is there some way I can make a new disk that has all of these ready to go?

Sure. nLite (google it) is easy to download and will walk you through it (sp2), and give you an easy opportunity to install drivers (like your SATA text-mode drivers you'll need)....then create the ISO for you when you're done.

Thanks for the help. That unattended install looks pretty cool, but maybe too complex for me. I'm getting a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R mobo, so I went to their website and found a SATA2 Raid Driver and Intel ICH9R SATA Raid Driver, both in exe format. Is that what I need for nLite? Does SP2 have a native SATA driver so I can partition and format my SATA HDs?

here is link for the nlite forums where you will find all kinds of help doing what you want to do. it is easy to do, if i can do it you can do it!! :) as for integrating the drivers you will need to extract the exe to folder then point nlite to the folder. do some research on the nlite forums they have people there who will help you out
