Combine two video signal one display

So this device purports to combine two HD signals into one HD signal. This is fine but not quite what I want. Older 4K monitors I believe used to have the option of having two display inputs operate simultaneously in order to drive the monitor because display connection technology had not caught up yet since there wasn't enough bandwidth to drive a 4K+ monitor with a single Dual-Dvi output, HDMI, etc.

I have a computer with two Displayport 1.1 video out but I'd like to drive a single 4K monitor. Theoretically you can drive this but only at 25-30hz. I'd like to instead in dual monitor mode (two DP 1.1 output) drive this singular 4K display at 60hz. Each half of the display would be driven by one of the monitor outputs.

I know this is possible but I'm having trouble finding the appropriate equipment to do such a thing. The link above is the closest approximation to what I need.

This monitor does it natively:

Not sure if there are many 4k monitors to choose from that do it natively.

It looks like if I need this feature, I need to buy a monitor with PBP (Picture By Picture) and at least a 4K resolution input. I'm still interested in knowing if there are any controller boxes that support 4K+ resolutions for this PBP feature.

Check out some of the LG Ultrawides, some of them have a Picture-by-Picture mode, and will take (I believe, two HDMI signals), for simultaneous side-by-side display of two 1080P signals.
