Combat body armor anyone?

Yes, but is my life really worth $1099.99 plus shipping?

Wait...don't answer that.

Go ahead, try going about a normal business day wearing that under your shirt. Do you have any idea how much that will weigh with front and back plates?

Opening VELCRO pouches can be heard up to 100 YARDS away - that can give up your position and draw fire killing you or your whole squad. Any one who tells you making extra noise in combat dosen't matter, or having equipment that makes noise in combat doesn't matter, won't live long enough to find out that it does matter. Put that guy on point, just to be on the safe side.

It was more a rhetorical question, but that'll show me for not clicking the link. 😛

some cities have ordinances against wearing them. i remember hearing someone get charged for wearing one not too long ago. they were pulled over during a routine stop and the officer noticed it.

yes i do, i had the exact vest issued to me. combine that 24 pound vest with 8 M-16 mags, 18 40mm M-203 rounds, kevlar helmet, 8 pound M-16, gasmask then go run 2 miles.

400 is not bad for the traume plates... if i got shipped out to iraq, i'd definitely invest in those...

I think I'll stick with Disney, vacation-wise.
No need for armor.

but imagine what people will think if u stand in line for a ride in body armor. (winter months of course since it's unbearable hot in the summer)
