Com ports set to 9600, notice they can go heaps upwards in set increments. Would going to the 19k or higher help on modem speed as far as how fast ones computer moves data? Or would the 56k and the phone lines limit things or have far greater of an impact.
So the question is what is the best setting for the com ports or do you just leave them alone?
