Exactly how does one celebrate this day anyway? Besides possibly getting off work, or atleast not having to deal with others at your work...

I still have to work, so I notice no difference.
I assume postal workers get the day off, so I cant send my Netflix back 🙁
And the bank gets the day off, so I cant cash a check I need to cash.

Its more of an inconvenience than a holiday.

Idiots all of you. Look at all the moronic posts in here about killing natives.

I'll tell you how to celebrate Columbus Day. It's simple. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! THAT'S what Columbus did back then. When everyone told him he was insane for thinking the earth was round. He believed in himself anyway and proved everyone else wrong. He didn't set sail to conquer and kill the natives of America. Conflicts happen, wars start and for whatever reason it did it was a tragedy that so many were killed in battle. Tragedies like that happen all the time. They occured before Columbus and they will occur after him and even after you're long gone.

But the true spirit of this holiday is to believe in yourself. OOO RAH. Semper Fi. Carry on.
