Colts thought Patriots bugged the locker room of opposing teams

Are the N.E. Patriots the biggest cheaters in all of sports?

  • Yes

  • Only Bill Bellychick and Tom Brady

  • No, I'm a Tom Brady fanboy

A mod edited my title. Clearly ex-patriot players also said the locker room was bugged

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...ots-believe-team-bugged-visitors-locker-room/

Dungy, the former coach of the Indianapolis Colts, reminded everyone of those old whispers that the New England Patriots were listening in on conversations in the visitor’s locker room at Gillette Stadium in an appearance Thursday on “The Dan Patrick Show.”

Dungy’s former quarterback, Peyton Manning, had his suspicions and former Patriots players warned the Colts to watch what they said

No proof, just the hearsay of people who, without playing ball, would be stocking shelves.

Yep that is how it is done. You people on this message board do the same thing (me too!). See a post and just jump on hammering away without checking facts or awaiting verdicts. Status quo.

This is amazing. The level the Patriots have owned the league that they get in other teams heads this way. Simply amazing. Psychological warfare. Lol.

Not putting it past them and being cautious is different than knowing they were actually doing it.

Interesting that the ex-Patriot is not named in the article.

How so? It's called a source. They generally do not provide a name to keep the source anonymous to allow that person, or player in this instance, not be retaliated against. They're not going to call out a specific players name on something that was said in confidence.

Interesting people on this forum aren't smart enough to understand how that works?

Another lame post by the OP. When there is actually some proof of something, come back to us. More like Manning coming up with excuses for losing to NE.

You also know that Marshall Faulk and Kurk Warner also accuse the Pats of cheating back in the day? It's funny how everyone is out to get poor ol' Tom and Bill.

The kicker for me is that every time I see Manning, I'm like, that's a great guy and he seems genuine. He loves the game and he does it the right way. When I see a Bill or Tom talk? I think of epic douce nozzles who will do anything, and everything, to win and look good at all cost. It's a character thing. I don't need proof to form an opinion, but as time goes on and more details come out....

I'll concede that the Pats had some good teams, but they cheated, more than once, and there wasn't even a need for it. They're basically the Alex Rodriguez and Barry Bonds of football.

Proof please? Oh right, you don't have any.

And Manning a great guy? Ignorance is bliss.

Easier to say the other guy cheated instead of admitting that one was beat by the better person/team.

Plan for as many different scenarios instead of hoping that predictability/mediocre play will get you through.

You want proof of my opinion? Odd.

You wanna throw something up from College about Manning? I never said the guy was perfect, but come on. None of us know the truth and all that he was accused of us showing his dong to some girl giving him an injury exam. No criminal charges and all the girl wanted was money. OK then! She went after him a second time for money because he mentioned it! But never filed charges...lol

Should I bring up stupid shit about Brady?

Many times, gossip hunters find some one who knows someone in order to get a 15 seconds of fame when it comes to scandas.

Hey, you're the one that thinks Manning is a great guy.

So, your opinion is based on no facts? That's pretty intelligent.

Love how you mention sore losers like Faulk and Warner.

Oh, you must have missed this - ESPN apologizes to Patriots for citing false Super Bowl report from '08

Of course, let's ignore this - Patriots Were the Victims of Spying Before 2002 Super Bowl!

Lol you're grasping at fucking straws to prove my OPINION wrong. It's sad really. Some random website with someone who thinks they saw a telescope? Haha

Move on with life. I'm not going to sit here and argue with children.

They've been caught cheating twice. I can name multiple players and coach who think they cheat. Which has been proven. Period. Say whatever bullshit you want, I don't care honestly. It's a game. Some people are just douche bag cheaters. Live with it.

'Grasping at straws"?, here's the original story FROM THE NY TIMES, not some "random" website and yes, this was observed by NFL officials, link. And your calling the AFCCG a proven "cheating" incident?, kind of a stretch when the Wells report on the ball data even admits "it is uncertain" how the balls got to 11.2-12.1 PSI. Now I will give you this, the text's do imply that at some point and time the balls might have had their PSI lowered, but judging from the AFCCG it would seem to be .2-.5 PSI, hardly "Gate" worthy IMPO. It would seem to me that the ball-warming incident involving the Vikings last season was of much greater benefit than that tiny amount of PSI and gee, I'd have to guess that Bridgewater was "generally aware" he was handling a toasty-warm ball on a frigid 8 degree day. Let's not forget the only reason this was discovered was because of a bored Fox cameraman, how many other times was the ball's temperature tampered with we don't know about?. Now we can talk about Aron Rodgers who is on record admitting " we over-inflate balls every game trying to get them past the Ref's, but they usually spot it and let some air out". Hmm, sounds like another QB trying to "bend" the rules a bit, no "investigation" on either matter, doesn't that fly in the face of Goodell's "we take these incidents very seriously" statement?. Now I do not condone ball-tampering and think it was a foolish idea on Brady's part but if you've been following the story the NFL has been "caught" lying twice in their dealings with "deflate-gate", leaking COMPLETELY FALSE information TWICE to drum up the hate on the Pat's, then failing to correct said information when they KNEW IT WAS FALSE. Of course what else would you expect when the people involved are all ex-Jet's FO personal, ba-ha-ha, let those assholes swing in the wind. Problem now (if they even give a shit) is that the "integrity" or complete lack of thereof has now reared it's ugly side and even those who hate Brady, (Suggs, Cromarite just to name a few) are realizing (as is the rest of the NFL fans) that the NFL "shield" is run by lying bags of puke.

His original links were to an ESPN report on the Pats taping signals at the 2007 Superbowl and someone who said other teams were filming the Pats. Well, it said they were using a telescope. Which is what I respond to.

Starting to think Pats fans are completely illiterate and unable to follow a conversation. Sorta funny watching you guys defend them so hard. It's a game, get over it.
