Colors, and seeing the thread below the box when replying

I'm confused - did the background colors of the messages just change?

Also, why is it that sometimes I see the thread below the box where you type stuff, and sometimes I dont? It is much better when I can see.

Is that only when I'm logged in, or only this forum or what?
 
Yes, logging in does make a difference in the appearance, espeecially if you have used the customize feature for colors. If you are replying w/o being logged in the message does not appear as when you are logged in.
