That potential was what led me to try the (permanent) Magic Marker, a year ago. It worked so well, I have done it again on another black box, for both floppy drive bezel, and the optical drive. It is very easy, as long as the plastic is halfway clean, and you don't need to worry about overspray at all.Originally posted by: floccus
You should be able to pop the faceplate off of the drive itself before you paint it, this will save you the problem of potentially getting anything in the drive and thus seriously screwing it up.
