Colored Face Plates, etc.

I don't want to paint the face plates on my CD drives etc. Does anyone know, other than trying to contact the manufacturer, if anyplace sells colored face plates, ie to replace the beige ones? I know I can buy black face plated drives, but I already have plenty of beige ones sitting around. I know Lian-Li sells black, silver, etc, aluminum stick on ones for their cases , but other then a few generic black plates, I can't find any "branded" ones or colored ones at all. I think Directron is dreaming (explitive deleted) when they want to paint your face plates black or silver for $19 bucks.......Hell if I was going to go that route, I'd just take them to a place that refinishes cabinets or to an auto painter, they know how to paint plastic. Any ideas guys? thanks.......

Well, plastic model airplane paint works beautifully and lets you be very creative not only with black or aluminum/silver - but bright accent colors as well. With a lot of spare beige faceplates, practice can be cheap and a lot of fun too.
