The "Phat" cases are coolermasters, and the PC60C and PC60B ARE the Liang-Li

If you HAVE to have aluminum, I suppose thats a decent case. The cooling features of that case isn't very impressive (no fan up front, the holes for the fan in the back don't allow much airflow). At that price, you would probably do better with a higher quality Antec case.

Au contraire! That "GT" case is a SkyHawk. I have one with the Aluminium Faceplace, the GT has a plastic faceplate. It has very good air flow. My case has a 80mm in front, a ducted 80mm in the rear and another 80mm mounted on a rail that you can direct to hotspots like underneath your video card. I do agree the the holes over the front and rear fans are a little restrictive, so I just "relieved" them a little. But the basic cooling of the case is still above average. This case is also very good for modding.

Thanks guys. I have to make some decisions here. I was just at COMP USA tonight looing at the antec sx635. Now I know this isnt even in the same class as the aforementioned cases, but for inluding an 80 mm exhaust fan and a 350W power supply for a total price tag of 60 bucks, It's tempting to just get that. Main downsides are, no motherboard tray removal, less fans, no filters, steel construction as upposed to aluminum... I dunno what i'll do.

If you are going to get an Alu case it's probably best to go with a good quality one(e.g. Lian-Li, Coolermaster, etc.). Otherwise just go for the Antec case.

When I needed a case I was also thinking about buying a cheapo alu Skyhawk case for $99. Instead I ended up going all out and buying an Aluminum Coolermaster ATC-210 for just under $300.

BTW before my Coolermaster case I used an Antec SX1030B case. Very good quality case, but heavy as a rock.

Anything is a step up from my dying generic case that I have been lugging around to LAN games and exposing to more stress than it was designed to take. It just comes down to how much I'm gonna spend. Thanks for your help guys.

If you are going to be taking it to LAN parties then do not go for the Antec case. Like said I used to have the Antec SX1030B and that case was heavy. +30lbs with PSU by itself. No computer stuff in it at all. From what I've seen of the SX635, it's just a slightly smaller version of the SX1030/SX830 series, so it will probably weigh a lot too. That skyhawk case might be exactly what you need if you take your case to a lot of LAN parties. That's probably the only thing it's decent for.

I dont care too much about weight. Mostly I'm looking for ease of use and cooling properties. Im running an athlon 1ghz and Im gonna be getting a geforce 3. I plan on doing some overclocking in the new case. Do you think I'll be able to get decent temperatures with the antec case and some good fans? I don't care about noise either.

What do you guys think of the case labeled "ATC" under the 0900 series? It says up to 7 case fans...seems like alot to me.

Skyhawk - that's the only China manufacturer makes Aluminum case,
there are 3 Taiwan, 1 Japan, 1 Korea make Aluminum case,
total only 6 manufacturers can make Aluminum case right now.
