Color washout in W2k

I have an old p2 333 compaq with an after market pci 3DFX 2000 video card. I recently did a clean install of Win2k and after installing Q3A, patch and metabyte wicked drivers my machines colors are all washed out, after trying to start the game. Any ideas on how I can get my eyes some relief?
