I just realized you can set the color temperature on this Gateway monitor using RGB values. You can set each one of the three color components to any value between 0 and 100.

Of course this is no help if one does not know what the right numbers are to enter! But if one does, this is much more flexible than only having a few Kelvin settings (6500, 9300, ...) available like most monitors offer.

I'm fairly sure every monitor offers this somewhere (I have it on my eMachines CRT, 2 KDS CRTs, Samsung 710T LCD, and ViewSonic VP930b LCD).

It's the first time I see it.

I have always seen the option of picking 9300 or 6500 and may be one more.

I know you can select the color temperature on any monitor.
But, all I have seen only give you a few options of 6500 and 9300 and may be one more.

This one let's you set the R and G and B to any value for it. Are you saying every monitor let's you do that?

Navid: Yeah, every monitor I've used has that option to individually adjust color components R/G/B (except possible a really really old CRT). It's possible some cheapo monitors don't but I think the vast majority do. This eMachines CRT I got for $99 years ago has it. Not to burst your bubble or anything. Glad the Gateway has it too. :)
