Color Stream Cables (question)

Where is a cheap place to buy these? I need them to hook my dvd player up to the new tv. Best Buy wants $70 for them and I know employee cost on them is only ~$35, but I don't know anyone working there at the time.

I assume you mean component video cables. I bought some "Prograde" GE-branded ones at Target for less than $15. They are nice and thick, shielded, gold-plated, etc. and they work perfectly.

I'll have to go check it out tonight.

You can get generic ones from Fry's for like $10. They're shielded and I'd wager every bit as good as anything else you can buy at a B&M store.

Closest Fry's is over 1000 miles away.

Colorstream is just Toshiba's name for component video. 🙂

Just don't get Monster-brand cables. Way overpriced.

Any decent 75ohm coax cable with the RCA connectors should work fine.

Well...I will add on that a high-end HT setup would probably benefit from a higher-end brand of cabling and I'll probably do that when I finally go front projection.

Conjur is absolutely correct, any RCA terminated 75 ohm coax cable will work fine.

I picked up a set of Monster component cables for $20 when I bought my TV, I've been happy with them but I would never buy them retail.
