I was thinking about getting a clie, or a palm m505, or some other color PDA.

i'v read reviews, but i don't trust them (because they are all just fat cat liberals), so i need some of your input.
i'm also thinking about getting a used one, because i don't have alot of $

so what do you think?
Should i even get one? (is it worth it?)
what should i get?
any bad exp. with any of them?

(i guess this could be posted in general hardware, but i figure its off topic is ok)

If you are going for a color pda then get one with pocketpc os, not palmos.

agreed. I suggest an Ipaq, 38xx is a nice series.

Right now my choice would be the 16-bit display Ipaq, but NFS4 posted a link a while ago about a new PDA that was coming out. I think it was LookX, or something like that. I don't remember. :( But it looked damn nice, 16-bit color, 300 MHz, & supposedly cheaper than the Ipaq.

I want one.

so, the pocketpc os is better then the palm os. how much do you thing a used Ipaq would run? I don't think i could dish out more then $250, so there isn't much doubt that it would have to be used.

Best Pocket PC <-- this rocks, but it's like $500, and in pretty heavy demand right now.

If you get a Palm OS based PDA, get one of the Sony CLIE's. They have excellent displays.

If you go the PalmOS route, (advantages - wide support/compatibility, good battery life) definitely go for the CLIE series. They're faster and smaller than the competition.

If you're hitting a budget wall, you could also consider a handspring prism. They can be had for a little under $200.
