The colors I see on the screen don't match what prints out on my printer (Canon Pixma MP500).

Stuff thats looks bright red on screen comes out a ruddy dull oangish color. How do I fix this?

I think ICC Profiles is what you're looking for.

If you'd like to read up some more, you can go back to Color Calibration and read about monitor and/or printer calibration; I think ICC profiles are mentioned in both of those.

The fix is to color calibrate your monitor. Mine came with a calibration CD. If yours did not, do a Google for Color Calibration and you'll get a whole page full of choices.

It's really not hard to do.
