Color Laser Printer Recommendations?

I'm looking to buy a color laser printer. I don't need the scanning or fax capabilities, just straight paper printing with the occasional manual feed item.

I currently have a monochrome Brother HL-2170W that's been a dream. No issues, cheap toner refilling that works great, etc.

Any decent color laser printers out there that don't have a huge refill cost? I once bought a small samsung for around $90 on a deal that worked good, but smelled like burning crayons so I returned it. It had a very small footprint which was nice, but it went back.

I refill my cartridge with a bottle of toner I bought off of eBay, and it works great. I'd be willing to do that with the color ones if it is cost effective.

Any color laser with reasonably priced toner refill recommendations appreciated.

I am in the same situation and have the 2170W as well. Did you ever find a decent color laser in which the toner didn't cost more than the printer? Seems a waste to throw at the entire printer every time toner is low but that seems the most cost effective in some cases.

Nope, never did find anything. I have (2) 2170W printers and one is coming to the end of its drum life, so i'd like to find a replacement before then. I figured it would be nice to get a color printer since my epson inkjet gets clogged heads all the time.

I agree its a waste to buy printers and replace them like some do, especially since many printers come with starter cartridges and I bet the color ones empty quick.

If anyone knows of a decent color printer that has reasonable cartridge refill's do share!!! 🙂
