Color coding old threads?

MrChad

When reading and replying to threads, I often don't pay attention to the original post date, as the Last Replied date is the only date shown on the topic list. Many times I'll read through an entire thread or even post in it before I realize that the topic was bumped from 6 months ago.

My idea was to "color code" threads based on their original post date. This could be done on the folder icon or the link itself. It would allow users to easily see when an old thread has been bumped. There could even be a "scale" involved; threads older than a month are one color and threads older than 6 months are another.

Just a thought. I wanted to see if others agreed with me.

Whne you open thethread, the original post datais shown; unless you choose to go to the end of the thread.

It only takes 3-5 seconds to look at the date and another 5-10 to click the last post indicator.
