Colon Cleansers

no

It's just a stupid idea the ancient Egyptians came up with and it refuses to die.

For those too lazy to click links:
Auto-intoxication enjoyed some favor in the medical community in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but clinicians discarded it as advances in science failed to support its claims.[19][8][10] A 1919 paper entitled "Origin of the so-called auto-intoxication symptom" in the Journal of the American Medical Association marked the beginning of the rejection of the auto-intoxication hypothesis by the medical community.[22][6]
Despite a lack of scientific support, "auto-intoxication" persists in the public imagination. The practice of colon cleansing has undergone a resurgence[when?] in the alternative-medical community, supported by testimonials and anecdotal evidence and promoted by manufacturers of colon-cleansing products.[19][8]

Buy the Haribo Classic Sugar Free Gummy Bears from Amazon. They'll do the job effectively.

If you have a colonoscopy they will Rx you meds and a regimen to completely clean out your colon. They need to do that to inspect it thoroughly. The regimen is to not eat food with any fiber to mention for a few days. The meds can vary. They make you crap out everything in less than 24 hours.

Just eat healthy and balanced, your body will do the rest. If you *really* need a colon cleanse, perform an enema.

However much fiber you think you need, triple it. Do the same with coffee. Works every time for me 😎

Eat a bowl of corn flakes, followed by 2 glasses of prune juice. This will empty your bowls naturally in a few hours.

Yes. About 20 minutes ago.

Just eat plenty of fiber-ey foods (grapefruit, apples, vegetables of any kind - and no, potatoes don't count) and avoid meat and dairy for a couple days. Drink a glass of Metamucil if you want to accelerate the process, but it's not necessary.

Make sure your plunger is strategically pre-positioned.

Rule of thumb: if it's medicine, and its sold on television, in banner ads, or People magazine, it's bullshit.

while the prospect of colon cleansing is, i agree, enticing, unfortunately those products that do it also get rid of good colon bacteria, which takes a while to reproduce. so you're actually doing yourself harm.

a regular schedule can help with being regular, literally. my 5 day a week poop schedule is usually spot on - come to work, eat pop tart and coffee, head to bathroom. on the weekend or on vacation, it's all backed up.
