College students: sociology... is it boring?

I enjoyed it. See other groups, peoples, etc. and see they way things are done by them. Opens your mind to the thought that we are not the only ones here.

Yes, but it is populated with lots of bubbly smiling dumb as fsck girls ( lower level), So at least you have some eye candy for 3 months.

I took a lot of sociology classes in college. Very interesting and the lower level ones were easy as hell and filled with hot women.

Do you have to write paper after paper of non-sense in a typical sociology class? I'm really not interested in social sciences, but it is one of those baccalaureate requirement and I'm trying to take something that keeps writing about some stupid speculations to the minimum.

course descriptions should tell you. The lower level classes were auditorium classes that had only a mid-term and final.

I concur, you'll probably foind alot of Marxist-types in there including teachers.

I've decided that even though science and math classes are a lot harder than these BS subjectively graded classes, I prefer them because I can tell why I did/didn't get a good grade, and it's clear what needs to be studied to improve that grade on the next assignment.

Easy grade, hot chicks, and some of it is actually interesting. Sure beats CS/engineering classes where the grade isn't easy, the chicks look like guys, and most of it is only interesting if you can understand it. 😀
