College student looking for internship

Ive been looking for an accounting internship for some time now.....yet no luck. I had one that was quite a distance from where I live and it was a non-paying internship. So I left after a few months.
Any advice out there?


CPA.... what do you think?
 
The trend seems to be giving business students unpaid internships. Seriously, it seems like hugely profitable companies are resorting to unpaids. That would piss me off to no extent!
