College Spring Break Thread - Deals, Tips, Experiences, etc

Spring break is coming up for the UC's in California, and I suspect across the nation. I normally do fun and exciting things like go to the mall or sit at home watching TV. This year I want to actually do *something*, so let's help each other out.

Post your:

Experiences with specific airlines, hotels, vacation packages (URL and the more info the better)

Tips? ... on where to go, not to go, ways to save money, safety etc.

Spring break is only 3 days away. I fly into Houston on Saturday morning. Then on Sunday I head over to New Orleans for three days, then it's back to Houston. Stay one night in Houston and I'm off to South Padre Island or Galveston depending on where I feel like going. Galveston is a short drive from my house in Houston so I will probably end up going there for sometime.

By the way I am flying Continental. Anyone ever flown with them before? This is my first time with them. I usually fly US Airways wherever I go, but Continental had a great deal going on tickets. Only $200 round trip.

Canadian schools had their spring break already. Last year some friends and I went to a cabin on the water, got completely hammered, and... yeah, that's about it... Cost: $40 for gas, $40 for the ferry ride, $300 on alcohol...

Hehe, my roommate is going to "Invasion" in San Felipe Mexico. He tells me that's where they shoot Girls Gone Wild, I bought him a 256MB CompactFlash for his digital camera as a going away present... Haha!
