College so far...

People: Incredibly kind and generous. Defintitely some odd-balls, though. And people who like to yell in the hallway even at 7 am when you're sleeping.

Schoolwork: Busy but manageable. Some nice professors, no mean ones, but a handful of very strange ones. NO FOREIGN PROFESSORS.

Environment: Clean and well kept, crappy weather is looming soon, though. I was leary of common bathrooms but they're kept incredibly clean. Showering late at night is a good idea. And thanks guys for reminding me to buy shower sandals. Would've sucked bad without them.

Dorm: Plenty big and a decent desk. Comfy bed, maybe even comfier than home.

Tablet PC: Really awesome. OneNote, really awesome. INK ART, more awesome than words can describe.

Really, the only low points so far are 1) miss girlfriend, 2) no car, 3) lack of seeing "real world" very often because of having no car, and 4) lack of gaming/music/whatever time.

That is all.

I will leave it up to you to search intuitively to discover the school.

... as in, look at clues in your post? because you just described about every college in the country.

or, look through past threads by you? because that would require me to navigate AT's search feature and I'm not in the mood for a brain anurism at the moment

The Tablet PC is truly awesome. I bet it's great for college as long as you can keep it charged.

Easily. A full battery lasts about 4 hours, and I never have more than 2 hours of contiguous class time. No notebooks =

I figured no one would feel like searching for the school. 😉

Yeah, dorms are nice! Then again I am in the newest building on campus, built in 1996. The one built in the 30s is craptastic inside.

But yeah, I really hate having no car and not being able to leave campus really at all. And I'm missing my girlfriend more than I anticipated.

People jerking off in the showers. Do you honestly want to be walking in their man-juice?

You can catch a lot of weird foot crap in the community showers, for one.

Fvcking plantar warts. And athlete's foot. Cleanliness of the shower means nothing when you're standing on wet tile that an infected bastard was occupying 5 minutes prior.

Wow COME ON. I stepped on jizz with my shower slippers once. It felt slippery and I knew something got on my slipper. I finished up my shower and took the shower curtain and wiped it all off there. I never used that shower again for a week until they replaced the curtains.
