The good things in life are worth working for. Education counts among those things.

There's no such thing as a free lunch. This "free" schooling would just mean raised taxes. You would also be hurting private schools quite a bit by doing that.

Finally an intelligent response. Who would be paying for these free colleges? The people in the work force who are now out of college. Why should they assume the finincial burden for your education? Get a job, get student loans and attend a cheaper school. You'll be able to pay for your own education, others do it.

I literally learned this today. Some guy was passing out slips for free Subway value meal on campus today. When I went to redeem, they were requiring people to sign up for a Chase Visa card and a discover card... I got my meal and didn't have to put truthful information!

I don't mean to sound like a dick but as my highschool econ teacher used to say "10% of you have to fail out of highschool or we won't have cheap labor, that's why I don't mind failing anyone. As it is everyone is getting a college education and it's meaning you have to go to school longer and longer to land a good job. I would hate to see the day when we educate illegal immigrants to this level and WalMart winds up costing as much as Crate & Barrel.
