College Search

Hey there,

I'm currently a junior and I need a hand in finding a suitiable college. My GPA isn't the greatest(3.0'ish) but I plan on doing very well on the SAT's. I would like to major in Software Engineering and I would like to be in the Mid-Atlantic region (NY mostly, NJ, PA, RI).

I've used a few books and sites to get a list of colleges but I would like some recommendations from you intelligent people.

Do you have a college counselor at your school? They are great resources.

I have a guidance counselor if thats what you mean, but I would like advice from people who are successful in the computer field.

With a 3.0 you are on thin ice with most CS programs at schools of any repute...but off the top my head, you can try for:

Pitt. , WVU, Temple, CUNY or one of the SUNY's, Rudgers, ...

There is always junior college for a year to two... work your ass off and get good grade and then transfer.

Probably to answer most of the questions correctly. That's what I did.

3.0 isnt that good at all. Get that GPA up now while you still can.
