i'll be taking

CSE 378 - machine language and organization or something like that
MGMT 200 - intro to law
CSE 499 - ungraded research, this is preparation for an artificial intelligence competition (in spring i think...)
CSE 498 - graded research, machine learning

and i'll be hopefully be volunteering with the seattle municipal court system

uh why not? a lot of CS is just applied discrete mathematics. a lot of CS depts even started out as a sub dept of math

well i'm taking discrete mathematics right now and very little of it is applied in programming. basically it's just the logic and the style of writing that applies, a lot of the other stuff is pretty much junk. at least IMO

I've always seen it crosslisted as either a Math or CS course.

yes, well, computer science != programming. programming is just a way of getting to the underlying mathematical concepts in computer science. saying that computer science is programming is like saying being able to write a novel is the same as being able to write each letter of the alphabet.
