College--Now w/ Pic of Room

So I will be off to college after this school year and I need to start buying things to have the "Ultimate Dorm Room". Some of my ideas... 27"CRT TV, my computer(desktop)(specs listed below), laptop, and a room mate has XBOX 360. What other things should i consider for my dorm room? Remember this must be the "ultimate Dorm Room"!!!
Room comes with: fridge and micro-wave, phone, and carpet.

Here is my Room i will have for the fall 2006 semester.

yes i am rooming with a firend from my current school and i am already enrolled at a university.

You already know where you're going and who your roommate will be? 😕

It's not uncommon. If it's a relatively easy school to get into (or if you use EA), and you're going to room with a friend, it's easy to know at this time.

get as big of a fridge as you can b/c that means you can store more than a few cans of beer

i would go with a 26in LCD and loft your beds up so you have more space

Dont worry, sounds like mommy and daddy will have that covered.

lava lamps, scented candles, various lotions, and a good stereo is all you need, long as there is already a bed in there.

Oh yea, put the hat on the door knob too.

BTW. Having nice stuff does not make a room "the Ultimate Dorm Room."

The Ultimate Dorm Room will usualy have the following:

  • lots of space. The more space you have, the more people.
  • Lots of fridges/fridge room
  • Couches to go along with lots of space
  • Some sort of table. A table is optimal for drinking games, poker, all sorts of good stuff.
  • At the least, a decent stereo/computer.

And the number one more important thing for The Ultimate Dorm Room:

Cool people that actually live in the room.

trust me, its always smaller than what it seems like. you start adding in all that stuff and *poof* there goes your walking room. just get the necessities, because it will eithier be stolen or broken.

Trust me, save your money. You don't realize how much money you're going to blow through on food, booze, and just misc. BS.
