What hell isn't college suppose to a good experince? The first month was awesome then, all the sudden everyone starts being an ass. What the fvck? Is it so hard to goto class? Is it so hard to shutup and keep your stupid comments to yourself. Is it really that hard to take the blame for when you don't wake up at 8:00AM? I'll admit I am not perfect, I'll admit I killed my first car that I got for free. It was completely my fault, I was too close and not paying attention.

Is it so hard for people to admit to themselves that they're wrong instead of blaming someone else...

For me college is what you make of it.

But I never made anything out of it, so it feels like high school.

It's just another stepping stone to "life" whatever the hell that is.

I am on my last year for my Business Information Systems degree, I've enjoyed the classes, but I am tired of the busy work and the meaningless participation grades.

I also am a bit pissed at the professors. I don't bother any of my professors when I might not understand a subject, so I'll get a C or a B instead of an A then if I had just went to the professor and asked for help. I just see this as bs tho, I mean, it's like cheating essentially, going to the professor. They treat you differently if you talk to them and go to their office, but if you don't you are a "bad" student.

Not only this but say you get a bad professor so you get a bad grade and don't learn much from the class, while someone else taking that class gets a good professor and a good grade and learns alot. This, imho, is the problem with college, and school in general. Classes depend on the teacher, so you either get screwed, or get lucky.

I can't wait for it to be over.

Welcome to the real world. Quite a bit different from HS, eh?

What's really going to piss you off is that four years from now, when you enter the Working World.

You'll see and hear the SAME excuses for tardiness, lack of preparation and inability to pull weight.

You'll see the slacky but crafty ones riding the coattails of the truly industrious and inventive ones, etc.

It will make you want to kill people. But, you'll remember from Sociology 101 that "Hatred toward others of a different mindset is wrong."

You will then go back to the college and kill that sociology prof so that you may continue with your quest to cleanse your working environ of Slackerdom.

You have my deepest sympathies; much a newborn babe with the intelligence of a 18-year old, but the understanding of a newborn, you've been cast naked, into this world...you'll sink or swim.

Call me an a$$, but I do better in those classes without a book than most of the morons that study 8 hours a week for each class.

I can't wait for it to be over.

Welcome to modern America. No one ever takes the blame for something that they obviously did. Terrible...

I just started going, though I guess NDSU with a 2.3 GPA min. entry requirement isn't going to attract the more mature crowd.

College is seriously awesome the first 2 years, then it goes downhill cuz every one straps down, and you pretty much know everyone already, so it's boring doing the same stuff.

USUALLY , but not all the time a person with a higher gpa has taken more responsibility and will work. of course this is not always true.

You're right, it shouldn't but that's the way it turns out. I mean compare a college like an Ivy League to that of a state school like that. The kids at the prestigous schools obviously had to be a lot more focused and determined not only by grades but by leadership and numerous other EC's. Thus it becomes a place where people strive to go so they can all be around those serious students. So serious and focused essentially equals mature.

Some parts of that are correct... but to be honest most are not. My girlfriends brother just grad from Yale. He told me the undergrad is a joke. Most are rich brats who got in b/c of their parents. Simple as that. Granted a good majority of students do bust their a$$ to get in but not all. For alot of the students that would fail out, their parents threaten their inheritence and then they finally study, and not because its the mature and right thing, because they are afraid of losing the millions they will someday get.

Also I believe for the most part most undergrads have a 2.3 requirement. I am sure a few have higher.

You know, I had the exact same feeling. Being in a lab until 6:00 am (all night) , oh but there was joy when I became the first to get the project to work and work correctly!!! :D:D:D
