What do you guys think? Better to have +'s and -'s or not?
I had a big argument with my friends about this. My school is one of the only schools in the country that does not have +'s and -'s....at least around here. Its straight A, B, C...etc. Next year, they are switching systems. My friends were freaking out...saying its not fair. Their argument is that you put in that extra work to finish with a 90 or a 91 on after final, you deserve an A. I disagree. Why do you deserve the same as the guy much smarter than you that got a 99? At any rate, why is an 80 the same as an 89, whereas the difference between an 89 and a 90 is huge? It just seems more logical to have more steps.
