<< She sounds pretty cool. The only part I didn't like was about minoring in psychology so she could pick jurors. That doesn't make any sense. >>

To elaborate...you need to have a minor in psychology in order to pick jurors for big lawfirms. Most big lawfirms have a juror research team, which write questions for the jurors to answer, and then they evaluate their responses, and they can eliminate the ones that don't fit the profile they need. The degree helps the team because they need people who understand how people work. Most psychologist can pick up on personal "vibs" as well. For example, if Budweiser was being sued, Budweiser would want someone who believes in personal responsibility and probably supports big corporations. They wouldn't want a non-drinker who thinks big corporations take advantage of people because they would probably support the Plaintiff. I have worked on a juror research team and still do a little work for them, and it is very interesting work.

If she's going into corporate law she will never see the inside of a courtroom.

I wonder how many people were in her high school class that she was valedictorian of? My mother was saluditorian (sp?) of her class - of six people.

Psychology is good for trial lawyers. Its also good for those GPA padding courses that pre-law students seek out.

You are correct about her never seeing inside a court room. But this is something that she could also do on the side in addition to her corporate attorney position, and she could also add a few hours to her billable monthly hours by helping the litigation dept with juror research.

I dunno but 1000 crunches sounds pretty unrealistic. She'd be better off doing 25 but doing them correctly. If you can do 1000 crunches they aren't going to be helping much anymore. IT's not how many you do it's how well.
