After the BCS fiasco/bullshit this past season (Bowl picks) I'm saying screw it. I just wanna watch good football.

wait until OSU gets in the Championship game again and loses by 21 points.

The SEC does so great in the post-season because it is like a by-week where they don't have to beat up on each other.

I didn't include Auburn in there because they never show up on D when playing Georgia.

Muschamp is gone to Texas. IIRC, Muschamp also had problems (soft spot for his alma mater) with Georgia when he was with LSU.

I'm hoping the new DC will have a better showing against Jawja.

So when you lose the championship your supposed to drop to what? They lost to the #1 team, not some scrubs. Last year was a rebuilding year and they werent even supposed to make it there. This year they retaurn 20 starters (including all americans on both sides of the ball, 2 heisman candidates) not to mention picking up the nations #1 recruit.

LSU graduated a lot, and dismissed thier starting QB. I'm actually surprised they are as high as #6

All that talent and they'll still get bitchslapped by an SEC team. :)

I doubt it, this is the most talented team they've had in a while. And the burn of two losses in the big one has them on a rampage. If the SEC wants to get cocky this year, they will fall flat on thier faces. OSU wants nothing more than to see a cocky SEC team who thinks they have it in the bag show up in January

If OSU has to face an SEC team in a bowl, they'll lose and continue to be 0-fer.

Pretty bold prediction this far out. The "in the bag" mentality will be the SEC's undoing.

Woo, it's great to be an SEC fan this year.

The only problem is going to be deciding whom to cheer for when UGA visits Baton Rouge this year. Do I remain faithful to my undergrad university (Go Dawgs!), or throw my support behind my grad school (Geaux Tigers!). Maybe I'll just cheer my brains out no matter who scores...

LSU back in the SECCG.

This is the year we finally win at Auburn - barring a 3rd consecutive "reffing" on the Plains

Florida and Georgia will both be tough this year.

So what happened two years ago? They were getting ready to rebuild? I don't doubt OSU is good, but there is no way they should have been there last year and getting ranked ABOVE the team that turned them into dog food is total crap.

EDIT: I'm just pissed KU is ranked ahead of us...and that all of the good games this year are away instead of in Lane (cept for the UVA v. VT game)

Against Florida they choked, no doubt, heisman went to Smith's head and the team was in party mode all december.

They were under dogs to LSU. Not to mention they played in LSU's back yard, and the ref's handed LSU two touchdowns on a silver platter just as OSU started lighting it up on offense.

Nah, SEC refs are pretty consistent - you can usually count on the visiting team to get royally screwed.

There are occasions where there's definately some home-cooking but I think they're usually pretty fair. The obvious exceptions being @Neyland, @Bryant-Denny, and @Baton Rouge. Those are 3 places that usually make me scratch my head at the reffing.

I will say that to me, LSU has the most classless fans in the conference. Red Stick is the only place I had a glass bottle thrown at my head, a drink thrown on me, and had my life threatened for wearing Auburn colors there (all in the same night). I'm not a mean fan either...last time FU played at J-H, I bought a round of drinks for some opposing fans after the game.

Yeah, the Baton Rouge-ians have gotten a bit worse recently...definitely can be rowdier than what I was used to a few years back while at UGA. I know that when my friends and I tailgate outside Tiger Stadium, we offer food (and of course the occasional light-hearted jeer) to visiting fans, so hopefully others will begin doing so as well.

VT lost to the 4th or 5th best Big 12 team, for crying out loud. The ACC sucks, period. they should be voted out of the BCS.

That's funny, because no team has more BCS bowl appearances then OSU, and only 1 team (USC with 5) has more than OSU's 4 BCS bowl wins.

Um ... did you watch college football last year? VT barely lost to Kansas, the team that was #1 in the nation going into their final regular season game and simply screwed the pooch. The ACC has had some weakness in the last few years due to a underperforming FSU and Miami. But VT, BC, and Clemson have stepped up to be strong teams. And now with Chan Gailey gone, Ga Tech has a chance to step back into some prowess in the next couple years.

As far as Georgia goes. I think they'll beat Florida, Auburn, and Tennesee. Unfortunately I think they'll extend the win streak over Ga Tech to 8 years. Their challenges will be LSU and Alabama and maybe South Carolina. I think the likely thing to happen will be UGA beats Bama, SC, Auburn, Florida, SC, and Tennesee... drops one to LSU. Either Auburn or LSU makes the SEC West, UGA the SEC East. Georgia wins SEC overall.

OSU drops one to USC, and possibly one other team.
USC will drop one where no one expects. Arizona State or Virginia even maybe.
Missouri will sweep the Big 12.

NC game is 1-loss UGA vs undefeated Missouri.
That's my thoughts

About the fans, sorry you ran into some bad fans. If you're ever in Baton Rouge again, pm me and you can hang out at our tailgate. We always offer food and drinks to opposing fans.

I can't watch the video (on dial-up access with my laptop @ work), but I'll assume it's the leaping penalty? IIRC, that was discussed ad nauseum(sp?) and determined that it was a legit but rarely called penalty.

I haven't been back to Red Stick since 1990something(1997?) when we won in the last 30 seconds.

They will do just fine, Pat White is the reason that team was any good, not Rich Rod. Before White, WVU averaged 5.25 losses/season for the 4 years Rich Rod was there. I'm just not sold on this guy as a head coach as much as everyone else seems to be.
