OMG YES!

At what cost?

...I can't believe everyone's ranking OSU so damn high. I'm as big of a Buckeye fan as the next guy, but for ALLLL the hate we got after a stupid computer threw us into the NC (as if that's our fault?), I figured we'd be lower top ten.

Also, the USC game will be fun to watch.

I think Georgia is the best team in the country, followed by USC and then OSU, but Georgia has a nasty schedule, so I expect them to drop at least 2 games by the time it's all said and done. That means the winner of OSU vs USC (I think USC since they are at home) will be in the championship game. OK or FL seem likely to be the other representative. Of course we all know the college season is a wild and crazy ride, and by the end everything that everyone thought at the beginning of the season was all wrong ;)

Ya but like I was trying to say earlier, because of thier tough schedule, even if they drop 2, as long as they win the SEC title game, they should have a secured spot in the BCS Championship

If Michigan gets to a major bowl game this year, I will be enthralled. Odds are it will be a mediocre bowl game.

Everyone thinks Rich Rod is going to be Michigan's saviour... pfft, They keep forgettting UM just graduated the only talent they had. He may be a good coach, but no one is taking a bunch of freshman and sophmores very far.

Phil Steel is only more accurate because his preseason poll is a postseason predictor.

he is not ranking the best teams, he is picking which teams will end up at the top so you get punished for having a tough schedule.

I'm starting to wonder if Georgia can handle the #1 status. They had more players arrested and indefinitely suspended over the weekend. That's 8 run-ins with the law this off-season (though two were silly). There may be too much drama going for Georgia to keep its focus.

tOSU loses to USC on the road, then wins out. Plays a 2 loss UGA team and gets drilled for the third time in a row.

LOL, the Miami Dolphins could run that schedule undefeated. Never try to make such a statement bridging the gap between college and the pros, you'll just make yourself look ridiculously silly.

lol, you should learn to identify hyperbole. Otherwise you'll just make yourself look ridiculously silly.

My humble opinion, as viewed through my orange & blue glasses: Jawja beats Auburn during the regular season but my Tigers get revenge in the SECCG. :)

ASU
South Carolina (Spurrier is our kryptonite)
Alabama (Saban is bringing them along)
Tennessee (Fulmer and the Vols always play us tough)
LSU (they could put a corner at QB and still be tough)
Florida (Tebow vs our suspect defense)
Auburn (jesus, do we ever get a break?)
Ga Tech (probably will suck, but a rivalry game nonetheless)

I'm not sure the New York Giants could run that schedule undefeated.

That said, we do have the most talented & experienced offense in the NCAA this year. It all rides on how consistently good our defense is, mostly.

LSU and Alabama are the only teams on their schedule that should be capable of holding Georgia under 35 points a game. If the defense is consistently average to good, they have a shot of winning out.

Moreno is just a sick running back and athlete that makes everyone who tries and tackle him look really bad, plus they have. Plus they have Stafford coming back as well.

I have hope that a non-Muschamp coached defense can hold Stafford to less than eleventy-billion yards passing.

Bama's D isn't that good. Auburn has a better D than bama, easily, maybe better than LSUs. we'll see. Of course, Auburn's D has sucked hard against Georgia the last two years....

These are complete bullshit. How is it that Ohio State can go to the BCS championship two years in a row and get pounded both times and remain #3 when VT wins the ACC championship, loses the Orange Bowl and drops to #15 and LSU who won the BCS is #6.

After the BCS fiasco/bullshit this past season (Bowl picks) I'm saying screw it. I just wanna watch good football.

So when you lose the championship your supposed to drop to what? They lost to the #1 team, not some scrubs. Last year was a rebuilding year and they werent even supposed to make it there. This year they retaurn 20 starters (including all americans on both sides of the ball, 2 heisman candidates) not to mention picking up the nations #1 recruit.

LSU graduated a lot, and dismissed thier starting QB. I'm actually surprised they are as high as #6

All that talent and they'll still get bitchslapped by an SEC team. :)

wait until OSU gets in the Championship game again and loses by 21 points.

The SEC does so great in the post-season because it is like a by-week where they don't have to beat up on each other.

I didn't include Auburn in there because they never show up on D when playing Georgia.

Yep, his pole is not meant to say "here's a ranking ot the best teams top to bottom", it's a view of the complete picture "given the schedule etc, here is how we see the standings when it's all said and done".

I don't care how good the bulldogs are, every team has those letdown games every now and again. When your letdown game is against Indiana, you still win. With a schedule as tough as Georgia's, any letdown game could easily become a loss.

USC vs Florida, or OSU vs OK. OSU got drilled in the title game the last two years, but I think a very weak schedule and the fact that they are loaded on both sides of the ball make them a likely participant --- except that little roadblock in Kaleefooniya vs SC.
