Phil Steele claims to have the "most accurate" preseason rankings 9 years running. But he sorta cherry picks which stats he uses to compare. USF at 8?

Geaorgia does have like 5 top 20 opponents on the road... could pick up 3 losses very easily.

yeah and even with 5 losses they'd still be better then USF, Penn State, Missouri and any non-BCS conference school

They are returning a shitload of talent off arguably the best team in the best conference last year

Doesn't matter, unfortunately. Georgia's schedule is brutal, and even if they get through it with just one loss they'll likely be watching some combination of USC/OSU/Ok play for the mnc.

and you can thank the BCS once again for not having the best teams play for a Championship.

LOL, Michigan is still in the top 25...I love it! Bring on Utah! (Although this whole west coast thing is totally going to screw me over...whoever heard of waking up before 10AM for a football game unless it was explicitly to drink!?)

Ohio State will obviously be #1 this year. I promise I'm not in any way influenced by the fact that I'm currently a student at OSU, it's just a fact :p On a different note, anyone looking to buy Michigan vs OSU tickets this year? ;)

You really think OSU can beat USC @ USC?

I doubt it, whoever wins the SEC, (assuming thay have 2 or less loses) is pretty much guaranteed to be in the BCS title game. The winner of the USC/Ohio State game sept 13th will likely be the other attendee... assuming both finish out with one loss or less. Unless OK goes undefeated, but I dont see them doing that.

I bet you Cal will start the season with an amazing 7-0 run, beating top ranked teams, getting everyone's hopes up, and then lose to some sh!tty team that previously had now wins. Then we will lose every subsequent game after that, drop from the rankings, and bears fan will once again be disappointed.

I, for one, will likely be very drunk that day/hungover and punishing my body (day after 21st), so I will either me celebrating like mad, or extremely angry and throwing things. :p

September 13th here we come! Cannot wait for that game! It being at USC is going to make it a very interesting game.

Unless Georgia can manage their schedule undefeated (and the schedule remains tough, ie the supposed good teams they play don't crap out), I'd bet the winner of the OSU @ USC game is #1 the rest of the way.

Not even UGA fans think UGA can run through that schedule, have you looked at it?

ASU
South Carolina (Spurrier is our kryptonite)
Alabama (Saban is bringing them along)
Tennessee (Fulmer and the Vols always play us tough)
LSU (they could put a corner at QB and still be tough)
Florida (Tebow vs our suspect defense)
Auburn (jesus, do we ever get a break?)
Ga Tech (probably will suck, but a rivalry game nonetheless)

I'm not sure the New York Giants could run that schedule undefeated.

That said, we do have the most talented & experienced offense in the NCAA this year. It all rides on how consistently good our defense is, mostly.

LOL, the Miami Dolphins could run that schedule undefeated. Never try to make such a statement bridging the gap between college and the pros, you'll just make yourself look ridiculously silly.
