College essay standard?

Nope i had on professor that wanted 1.5 spacing and another that wanted 1.0 and another who wanted 1.75 .

MLA or APA unless you're told otherwise. Your best bet would be to go with MLA if nothing is said, since it is a standard and you can easily take it up with the department if your professor arbitrarily decides to change his or her mind after the fact.

How long does it have to be? You can also quote others in support of your argument.
