College Education and Experience

Right now I'm 22 and working for a major corporation in the IT Department as a computer tech. I've had about a year or two before this job doing pretty much the same thing. The problem is I don't have a degree in anything. It kinda scared me last night when my GF brought up moving. I guess I'm afraid of looking for a good job like the one I have currently if we do plan on moving next fall.

When it comes to getting a job, do most employers take into consideration the years of experience a person has even if they don't have a degree?

Well personally, I think the market is pretty saturated now. Companies are able to find pretty much exactly what they want. That usually involves having a degree.

It's harder to get past the HR screeners but experience counts for alot after that.

most places around here want a degree and like 5+ years experience for IT jobs

some say degree or a certain amount of experience, usually at least 3 years.
