After most lectures, you are so confused as to the material the professor just went over. Like you think everyone must understand but you, only to find out everyone is so confused too after each lecture.

Well one of my classes is like this. Freaking hard material, were the professor even said he doesn't expect us to understand most of it.

These are very different topics. That was about the low low grades in the class. This is about how each day I leave confused.

And you don't think the two are correlated at all?

What class is it? There's a lot of very smart people on the forum that may be able to help you understand something if you're having trouble...

heh, i had a class like that.

i was in it with 4 other kids from my hall. we thought it was gonna be awesome. Econ 150, Economics. I had taken AP Econ in HS and micro/macro/and entrepreneurship so I knew econ quite well.

yeah, none of us knew anything. another kid from my hall had taken AP econ, too. NONE OF US UNDERSTOOD ANYTHING that was coming out of the professors mouth. he would just ramble on and was horrible at explaining things.

we'd ask him questions, he'd try to answer it but fail miserably. and then when he asked the kid if he answered his question, he'd just say yes out of fear that he would keep talking nonsense if he said no.

haha, jeez that class was hilarious. the average was a 69 for the class (i got a B). so we weren't the only ones. the teacher got confused and said we weren't studying enough. when i know my friend and i studied 23 hours for the final including a 15 hour marathon in the library one day.

lol, we all just laughed at the class. the professor was hilarious, but nothing he said made any sense.

This is just a part of a solution to one of the questions we had on our last home work. Few people got this problem right. Remember this is just a small part of the solution to the problem. The whole solution was like 2 pages long.

I've had a few classes like this. Sometimes, you are stuck with a class where either the professor just doesnt teach the way you learn best; so you end up learning the material on your own.

I would just show up for attendance if you get points for that, and just learn on your own.

I am begging to think most of the advanced math classes I am taking have little to no real world use, outside of research.

I have finished Calculus too. and Real math is hard. Calculus is a piece of cake compared to my upper division math classes.

Most my classes (in engineering) were like that. NO ONE understand what was going on during class, including myself. I was able to go back through the notes a few days before the test and make sense of it all and get As in every class.

Thats how i get through most of my courses, with the exception of majors courses (physics).

A two page solution isn't all that long...

You really don't seem to enjoy what you are doing in school. I hope this isn't your major coursework.

Yes this is my major, while it might now sound like it, but I actually do enjoy these advance math and stat courses.
