Probably around 40-70% of the faculty in the various sciences(math, physical, biologogical), and engineering departments are foreigners. But only around 10-30% of the faculty here in the social sciences, humanities, and arts majors are foreigners.

Anyone else notice this at their college.

You ever noticed in NBA basketball, probably around 40-70% of the players are black. But in baseball only 10-30% of the players are black.

It is fine as long as they don't bring religon into the class room.

I haven't had many humanities or arts. I have had World History, Economics, and Ice Skating. All three teachers appeared to be, and sounded like, they were born and raised here.

Math and engineering - One Italian, one Indian, one Chinese.

Not quite a majority, but definitely more than in other disciplines. I do see other math, sciences, and engineering professors though, who are definitely not originally from the US.

The only issue I have with that - strong accents make it difficult to understand them. Calculus for example, I went from someone with a strong Italian accent to a strong Chinese accent. A good portion of the first week is just learning to understand what the professor is saying.

I see you've changed your opinion on that.

:(, This man is a devote christian, and is teaching science to the young minds are my school. Don't you think something is wrong with this. He even wrote books trying to relate religion and god. Horrible if you ask me. His god belief clearly clouds his judgement, and affects his teaching.

I am always skeptical of god believers who claim to be scientist.

I have decided to become a little more accepting, since then.

It depends on the area too. In Toronto we're super-multicultural - I would say the balance is 30/30/40 asian/indian/white in engineering.

It is very similar here too.

But what about for social sciences, like history and such.

Undergraduate degrees perhaps, sure; but faculty in colleges are nearly always doctors, meaning they'll all be earning about the same salaries.

Yep. Most of the grad students in the math department are Asian and most in the biology department are Indian or Asian.
