12 is considered full time for undergrads. If you don't want to slack off, go 15-18.

Same here. My old university didn't allow anything over 21 w/o special permission from the dean of the school himself. Had to get it twice while I was there.

Yeah, all the schools I've been to limit your total hours. I think the max is 21, after that you have to get permission to register for more. I'm not sure what the policy is for co-enrollment at another campus.

Depends on whether your school does semesters or quarters and on how the school rates your individual courses. I have averaged about 16 credits per semester at Pitt and that is 4 credits per semester more than are needed to maintain full-time status. Next semester is my last and I think that I will only be taking 12 credits (I already have enough credits to graduate, just need to get a couple Finance electives out of the way).

My school, the Univerisity of Illinois, allows up to 21 hours before you have to get permission. The number of hours you take is a grand total of all the classes you're taking regardless of where you take them. However, unless you well them you're taking classes at another campus, they have no reason to check on you so they wouldn't. So you could take 21 hours at U of I and another 21 somewhere else if you wanted. I'd rather eat a box of nails but that's just me.

I'm taking 18 right now (54 using our system), but one of the psych classes I'm taking sucks... it's more like "how do feel about how we think the brain works" (a.k.a. bull$hit), instead of "this is what we know about how the brain works". If I don't drop it, then I take a normal load next semester, I'll probably graduate a year early. Dropping it would put me at 15 (45 using our system).

edit: I wanted to take more than 18 initially but my that requires special permission, which for some reason I did not get. Had I taken an extra course, dropping this one now wouldn't be a big deal at all.
