The first one is a Randolph year.

True. Probably one of the best college basketball games I ever saw was the ACC 95 Championship.
Only wish I was at Wake during that game.

He scored alot of points that tourny.

I don't hate Dook; I live in Durham and can stagger back home from Sats or 9th street. I hate UNC (actually annoyed is a better word). But I honestly hate Wake Forest. With a reasonable passion too. And Winston-Salem is the armpit of NC anyway.

When I moved down to NC more than 10 years ago, I was told by new friends that I had to choose an ACC team to root for. I could cheer for other colleges outside the ACC but I'd have to pick an ACC college too. Because I have some floor space rented out in the NCSU craft center for my wood working, I choose NC State. And I have to admit it, the pack has given me heartburn both in football and baskeball.

But I still back the Pack!

I think you're confused...any true North Carolinian will tell you that Durham, truly and unbiased, is the armpit of the state.

Yeah, there's good reason to hate Wake.

Neah Gastonia and Fayetteville are NC's two armpits. I've been to both and can confirm this. Durham gets a bad rap, but South Durham near the new mall is actually pretty nice.
Streets at Southpointe pwns!! Man, why the hell did State have to lose to Clemson??? Those Tigers be triflin' (they beat UNC at Lil' John too...lol I remember all the State fans calling in and laughing at us on the radio when that happened.) Anyways, all eyes are on the next UNC vs. Dook matchup in two weeks. I know State fans will be rooting for us!!!! Lets all infiltrate Cameron and pwn those Dookies!!!

I think objectively, that may have been the best tourney ever. 4 teams tied for first (Wake, Carolina, UVa, UMd, all 12-4) and one player who unloads and scores more points in the tournament than anyone before.

Even though I had corner, upper level seats, I had a great time.

Dook still has to go down to Tallahassee. When was the last time they won there? The ACC is just a tough place to get a road win regardless of who you are playing this year.

Thats why its so rare to see a team go undefeated in the ACC. Because even Florida State is hard to beat when your away.
Think about it, its possible to have 7 ACC teams in the tourney this year. There's only 9 of them.

NC State is the only team to beat them on their court this year, and both Duke and State are undefeated at home this year. It's rough...I feel sorry for Miami and Viginia Tech next year.

Nah, Clemson needs some company at the bottom...

Well we lost simply because we shot 6-37 from outside. That is pathetic. We only had to make 2 more out of the 37 attempts to seal the win, but we had a horrible night. I must say, I am actually rooting for UNC, but I highly doubt they will be able to get it done. Duke protects its home like a mother protects her children. I guess I don't care anymore about the regular season, except to see which teams will be able to make it to the NCAA. They say 7 will make it, I think that'd be great.

<-- can't wait for the ACC tourney.

Yeah, but Miami and Tech will attempt to make up for it when it comes to Football, and they will. The ACC is getting some much needed strength from those two schools.

I've got a feeling Clemson's going to give them a welcome as well and have a decent season like they haven't seen since Cliff Ellis was coaching there.

You think so? I haven't been following Clemson at all, so I have no clue where they stand as far as veterans and their incoming freshman class next year.

They were doing fairly decent until they hit the ACC schedule this year 7-4 outside, losses at Purdue, South Carolina, at Georgia and at Cincinnati. All of which will probably make the tournament except for the one team that beat Kentucky twice this year. Their RPI of 67 is not bad and Strength of Schedule is 3rd toughest in the nation
