College Basketball Fans

I came down to LA to watch the the UCLA/Cal game (I go to Cal) and we blew them out in an upset that probably quashed any chance of UCLA getting into the NCAA tourney this year...

What bothered me was that the fans in the stands were BOOING the UCLA team in the 2nd half. Granted they were playing like crap but come on these guys are just kids... (well my age, lol 20,21,22).

So Question... is this common... I can't ever remember Cal getting booed at Haas Pavillion no matter how bad we did...

I've never seen St. Mary's get booed.

That's pretty weak, but then again UCLA has slightly higher standards than Cal probably. By chance, do you know Krista Foster? She plays women's basketball and she's a freaking sav, and she graduated from my HS last year (we talked at the beginning of the year but not the end).

it's a big game for people at both universities. if UCLA didn't put on a competitive performance in such a meaningful game, then they deserved to get booed. I certainly don't feel sorry for the players.

I wasn't at the game but I heard people talking about our power forward at UF David Lee getting booed at a recent home game. He has been hot + cold recently and people were upset that he was having another lackluster game which contributed to our loss. He is the only senior and the team captain and so it is expected for him to perform well. With that said, I think it is wrong for people to boo any team.

Boo the players who brawled in the NBA. Boo that guy from the Dolphins that gave the finger to a whole stadium. But don't boo someone or a team for having a bad game.
